# Rune Surf — Privacy

updated:2026-09-30 scope:on-device only tldr:Rune Surf does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. contact:[email protected]

// Rune Surf is an offline number puzzle: you swipe a grid of carved stones, fuse matching numbers into their doubles and work through a campaign of tides plus an unlimited Endless mode.

[01] Information collected // inputs

None. The game never asks for a name, email, phone number, birth date, location or payment details. The only text you can type is the nickname on the Standing screen, and that never leaves the device.

[02] Local storage // on-device

Kept in OS-level local storage on your device, never uploaded:

  • Player identity — the nickname and sigil you picked yourself.
  • Campaign progress — cleared tides, stars, best score and fewest moves per tide.
  • Rune Codex — which stone values you have reached.
  • Honours — which achievements you have earned.
  • Runes and upgrades — your Runes balance, lifetime total, daily-gift history and your tier on each Forge track.
  • Run bookmark — a snapshot of an unfinished tide so it can be resumed.
  • Preferences — calm light, clear marks, the dead-water warning, swipe feel and whether the tutorial has been seen.

Uninstalling the app deletes every byte.

[03] Permissions // runtime

No runtime permissions are requested — no camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, storage or notifications. The manifest carries android.permission.INTERNET from the default Flutter template; Rune Surf never opens a connection, and as a normal permission it is never prompted for.

[04] Network // egress

Fully offline. There is no HTTP client, no socket code, no analytics endpoint and no remote configuration. Nothing is uploaded, downloaded or synced while you play, and every mode works in airplane mode.

[05] Third parties // vendors

None. No analytics, advertising, crash reporting, attribution or social login. The only dependencies are open-source Flutter packages for local storage (sqflite), state (provider), animation, icons and date formatting, and none of them contact a remote service in this app.

[06] Children // coppa/gdpr-k

Rune Surf is a plain number puzzle for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. It collects nothing, so it cannot collect personal information from a child; there are no ads, no purchases, no chat and no outbound links.

[07] Your rights // you

Everything stored is visible in the game on the Standing, Atlas, Codex, Honours and Forge screens. The reset option under Controls wipes every tide, star, honour, codex page, Forge tier and Rune at once, and uninstalling removes the database and preferences entirely. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to export or delete for you.

[08] Changes // changelog

If this policy changes, the updated field at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes are also noted in the app's release notes.
